What Is A Proper Virtual World? What The Heck Is Virtualization? Got Virtualization, Well Sort Of? Virtualization, Been There Done That, But What Is Next?

Does this title give you a headache?  Well it should.  In fact, it was designed to create them, and as a side effect, cause an insane number of search engine mismatches.  Why would anyone do this?  Easy to answer that one and glad to do it, to stop that thumping in between the ears.

As you may have already contemplated or realized that ‘A Proper Virtual World’ is a BLOG* about virtualization tactical and strategy themes that are common to all virtualization platforms, be said platform based on Xen, VMware, Solaris Containers, AIX Micro-partitions, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft IIS, or even Microsoft Virtual Server.

A Proper Virtual World (PVW) will revolve around three (3) basic themes based on the following conceptual planes of existence:

1. What is Virtualization? This theme is a beginner’s guide to virtualization, and maybe a bit more. How does one evangelize it? How does one realign and revitalize the IT infrastructure for it? And many more questions about what, when, and more importantly, why, how, and who impacts virtualization implementations.
2. Virtualization, fine (we have done it), now what? This theme is based on intermediate guides to virtualization, taking into account the issues, problems, and situations that often develop once a virtualization infrastructure is in place.  This theme is more tactical in nature.
3. What is next? This theme is based on strategic and advanced concepts and issues to virtualization that enterprise or large scale deployments of virtualization will encounter or experience as virtualization matures in design, scope, and scale.

Do you notice?  I have not, did not, and plan not, to ever justify my views as the editor of this BLOG, you either agree or do not agree, if you agree say so, if you do not agree say so.  But always support your view point with factual information.  And with that statement, this introduction may be the only addition to this BLOG that is not debated by default?
